This is a ceiling found in a funeral chapel. Before our work it had several water infiltrations which ruined the original decoration. Following the few traces of the paintings we tried to restore them giving to this ceiling the beauty it had in past times.
In this decorative restoration we have restored a part
of the ceiling and we have realized an ex-novo
decoration for the centre of it.
Some restaurations for the Borromeo Palace of
Milan These are some of the ceilings restored, in
collaboration with other artisans, of the Borromeo
palace, in Manzoni road, Milan. These are fairly large
ceilings (from 60 to 100 square metres). Here we have
removed the dirt (mostly nicotine and smoke) accumulated
over the years. Then, after fixing the remaining colours
with the appropriate products, we have proceeded to the
pictorial restoration in order to restore the ceiling to
its original splendour.
This restoration
has been made
all along the
walls of a
beautiful room
of the Borromeo
Palace. Before
this work the
decoration was
covered by tents
and after we
have also found
golden foil
decorations.
The people who witnessed the different phases of
this restoration were very surprised and
satisfied by the work accomplished and by the
final result. In this way we have given back to
the halls of Borromeo Palace its old
magnificence.
